On November 19, 1863, at the Soldiers’ National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, President Abraham Lincoln, weak and lightheaded with an oncoming case of smallpox, made a speech that lasted for just over two minutes, and ended with his hope “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

    Those words have been quoted ever since – but not the full quote …The quote came from the prologue to what was probably the earliest translation of the Bible into the English language:

    “This Bible is for the government of the people, for the people and by the people.”

    The author was the theologian John Wycliffe, this was in 1384.

  2. Right, Jones and all his cohorts operate 100% in the flesh, they think by ‘taking the country back’ they will restore some kind of value based Government, but governments are never value based, only Power based.
    What Jones don’t understand is that God doesn’t have a country, flag, loyalty to any cause, ‘My Kingdom is Not of this World’ Jesus said, ‘Those who truly follow Him say: Our Citizenship is in heaven’, we look for a heavenly country who’s builder and maker is God’ ‘A new heaven and new earth in which righteousness dwells’, We are sojourns, nor of this world’
    The weapons of our warfare are not Carnal but spiritual for pulling down strongholds and every high thing that exalts itself against the Knowledge of God!

    And that includes phony ‘Christian based Patriotism … little do they know that the country they wish to restore is crumbling around their feet and they will perish with it unless they awaken to the Truth.
