The truth concerning Judas

  1. Dear brother,

I enjoyed this very much. Gordon covered a lot of open view doctrine in this one video. I always have felt such sadness when it came to Judas. His walk is a valuable lesson for us all. I read from another study about Judas the following … I’ve often been asked why Judas Iscariot should be blamed since it was prophesied before time that ‘he’ would betray Jesus. Let’s be clear, the Bible NEVER said Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, would be the one to fulfill that prophecy. Instead, he qualified himself. On realization of his fall and sin, Judas failed to remember the word of Jesus:
“But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins…” Matthew 9:6

Rather than turn to Christ, he turned to the very people with whom he covenanted to betray his Master. He felt remorse (Matthew 27:3-5) BUT NOT GENUINE REPENTANCE.

Our walk is very narrow and it is not over until it is over.

    • Thank you for your comment Linda, Very true, always appreciate hearing from you..

The common teaching in Christendom concerning Judas undermines Jesus integrity…I think most have not even examined their belief from this perspective…If so, I believe they might see their error..Bill

  2. Gordon was mislead concerning the future pre-millennialism. The kingdom was already set up, but it wasn’t going to be on this earth…Jesus first returns to the generation of that day in the Person of the Holy Spirit in a great cloud of witnesses on the day of Pentecost, whereas the judgement is now… However, his teaching concerning Judas was quite excellent……Bill
